Ever get the feeling that your body is itching for salty winds, your eyes wanting to gaze upon an endless horizon and your ears longing to hear waves hitting shore? Then hit the beach!
Last September 23, 2017 we went to Coco’s Beach Resort - one of the many choices of beaches in Gumasa, Glan, Sarangani Province.
I brought along the handy dandy Canon EOS M3 with me to seize the white sandy beach’s beauty. I didn’t call it “handy dandy” just because of its size; it’s because I didn’t have to wait ‘til I get home to edit my shots and share it online. It has a feature that let’s you transfer you photos from the camera to your smart phone, now how cool is that?
Once I transfer my photos to my phone I use an app called Polarr. It is simply amazing, a mobile editor having almost all functions that are on Adobe Lightroom. Tone Curves, Split Toning, HSL Sliders, Gradient Filters, you name it. It even let’s you create and save your own preset that you can share online (much like Lightroom Presets).
Though I didn’t take many photos during that time because we were more into getting our skins wet and salty with sea water, here are a few shots I took side by side the original and edited by Polarr. You have to keep in mind that editing a photo depends on what outcome you want, so please don’t criticize my editing too much. Also, I was with my wife so here she is again :D
(NOTE: I used the 15-45mm kit lens only)

I really like how the Canon EOS M3’s image output. Its image processor, DIGIC 6, is just awesome! The 24mp can also let you crop if needed to.
Using Polarr and the presets that I saved makes it easier for me to edit and share my photos. NOTE: A paid version of the app grants you access to more editing features.
Thanks a lot :D
